Lamont Plumbing & Heating is a locally owned, growing plumbing and heating company serving Holliston and the surrounding Metrowest communities.

Now we're looking for someone exceptional to help run the business behind the work.

This is more than an administrative position. We're looking for a smart, highly organized, business-minded person who can take ownership of the day-to-day operation of a growing company — someone who sees what needs to be done, follows through, and enjoys making things work better.

The role combines operations, customer service, bookkeeping, marketing, and problem-solving and works directly with the owners.

WHAT YOU'LL OWN

Business Operations & Customer Experience

• Manage the day-to-day administrative operation of the business from initial customer contact through scheduling, invoicing, payment, and follow-up.

• Serve as a friendly, knowledgeable, professional point of contact for customers by phone, text, and email.

• Manage the daily service schedule and coordinate communication between customers, the office, and our field team.

• Maintain accurate customer, property, job, and service information.

• Prepare plumbing permit applications and maintain related records.

• Keep open items moving and make sure commitments don't fall through the cracks.
  

Bookkeeping & Financial Administration

• Maintain day-to-day bookkeeping records in QuickBooks Online.

• Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable.

• Record and categorize transactions and reconcile bank and credit card accounts.

• Monitor outstanding balances and follow up appropriately.

• Coordinate payroll administration and maintain organized financial records.

• Work with our outside accountant/CPA and help ownership maintain visibility into business performance.

This role handles bookkeeping and financial administration — not tax preparation or higher-level accounting.

Business Growth & Marketing

• Collaborate with ownership on marketing strategy and help turn ideas into action.

• Support social media, customer communications, community outreach, website content, and other marketing initiatives.

• Help track where business is coming from and what marketing efforts are working.

• Look for ways to strengthen the customer experience and the Lamont brand.

• Help improve and document systems, processes, and technology as the company grows.

EXPERIENCE WE'D LOVE TO SEE

A background in business, operations, marketing, bookkeeping, office management, or a related field is strongly preferred.

QuickBooks Online experience is highly desirable. Experience in a service, construction, trade, or fast-moving small business is helpful, but plumbing experience is not required.

Comfort with modern business software and AI tools is a plus.

COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE

$65,000 annual salary

35-hour workweek

This is a full-time position based in Holliston, Massachusetts, with the opportunity for a hybrid office/remote schedule once the successful candidate is established in the role.

Paid time off and additional employment benefits will be discussed as part of the hiring process.
